Breathe in the pain,
Breathe on out the love,
Let my heart be a place
Where this world is changed forever.
(lyrics from healing song)
Dear Friends,
May we find our way to a deeper relationship with ourselves, each
other and Spirit. In response to the events of this day, may those
very things which appear so utterly unacceptable to our sense of what
life is for, somehow help us in becoming more appreciative of that
which is most important in our lives. In Peace, Michael Stillwater
p.s. The following messages have been sent to me, and I forward them
to you. Today's tragic events have shaken many of us to places of
deep grief, revealed a wider recognition of our vulnerability with
life, and awakened us to our forever interconnectedness with each
other... either named friend or foe... but forever connected as one
humanity. If the news has immobilized our hearts... with shock, fear,
grief or even hatred... please consider the need... greater than our
own feelings, issues and beliefs about the situation... to visualize
peace on earth. Let us also remember all those whose lives were sacrificed
by the events of this day... and their loved ones.
We join in prayer:
Prayers of comfort for all involved in these attacks.
Prayers of healing for all affected by these attacks.
Prayers of healing for the underlying causes that lead people to such
destructive acts.
Prayers of forgiveness, where forgiveness replaces retaliation.
Prayers of wisdom for our President and national leaders that their
response will be filled with wisdom rather than revenge.
Prayers for wisdom in knowing how to pray.
